Morning, dry and mild here. Not long up, had a hellish night with my shoulder, couldn't find comfortable position despite taking a full whack of night time painkillers. All I did yesterday was get the big ladder out of the garage, into the loft for the crimbo decorations, wee bit of reaching and stretching just outside the arm's "comfort zone" but that was enough! Seeing the doc again tomorrow, see if I can find out what's happening with the scan and physio.

That's good to hear, I was getting a bit concerned that he'd gone all Scarlet Pimpernel on us

Still plenty of time for the temperature to drop and the white stuff to fall from the sky

I am now - awake that is. Scaffolders decided on an early start dismantling a neighbour's scaffolding (he's had his roof covered in solar panels).
Judging by the amount of noise they made, they must have literally hurled every scaffolding pole into the back of the lorry from a considerable distance away.

Can't believe how mild it is today, compared to the past week or so - might have to break out the short sleeved shirts again. Garage re-organisation for me now - had to move a lot of stuff out of the way so that the new door and frame could be fitted yesterday - so in putting it all back I might just have a turf out of a few bits and pieces.

Is it an up and over door or one of those new fangled roller doors Rod ?

Up & over Jeff - the rollers are very nice but I found it difficult to justify the cost. I went for the cheapest for three reasons:
  1. I never (can't) put the car in there - so it's really only a pedestrian/lawnmower entrance
  2. I'm going to hack a gap in the side wall (well, my mate the farmer with the Stihl saw is !) and install a UPC door there - so the main front entrance will be used even less.
  3. I'm a cheapskate !
The old door lasted 38 years, so if this one does the same, it'll last me out - just

Three very good reasons for your choice of garage door Rod
