I assume I just need a better ariel? If so where and what do I buy? I would like it to be mounted discretly in the car.

As it was not a success I removed the DVB-T wiring and refitted the head unit, but now when I switch the ignition off the wipers do one full sweep. Any ideas?

Also I took the feed for the DVB-T from the wires going into the ISO connector. Is this OK as the + & - wires for the DVB-T look a fair bit thicker?

Thanks,

SJR
The signal does depend on your area, take the car for a spin and try it in another location.

The wipers will settle down, mine done it when I 1st changed the head unit, I am not sure if it is something to do with the Bus Can on the car.

The wiring is fine being taken from the ISO.

This is caused by the switched and permanent 12 volt feeds being swapped around.

Check your radio loom and then check the headunit pin-out. You will probably find the wires are swapped around.

Eamonn, strange how he has not mentioned the Radio not holding it stations if the switched and permanent 12V are round the wrong way?

Fair point, Tony, but I have had this problem myself. Actually I think I was the first person to experience it as I recall doing a search at the time and found no solution.

I stumbled upon the cure myself and have seen a few cases since.

We can only advise on what we know, he should check the wiring, I know on my 1st unit (single din) it was round the wrong way, but it did not effect the wipers?

Wonder if its an age thing (car age, that is )

His car is listed as 2005, like mine. As said previously, I found no solution to the symptoms and I'm sure I wasn't the first to fit a radio that needed the wires reversed.
