I've pottered a bit this week. I've got the breathers on, so hopefully when I drive again, no more smell. I've ordered a lower engine mount, as it was an advisory on the last service, I've fitted stainless bumper bolts and a stainless oil cap, cleaned under the bonnet a wee bit and fitted some torpedo badges and a new bonnet badge and "flags". I've also got some wind deflectors to go on, but I need to fit a replacement passenger door finisher first. I tried this afternoon, got all the screws out, then didn't have the strength right now to tug the old one off. Another job put on the waiting list.

Downside, when fitting the breather I noticed a tiny tiny amount of antifreeze in the "V". I didn't see it when I bought the car, but maybe it standing not being used hasn't helped, or I just missed it. So that's a job I need to sort. Anyone know how much it costs roughly, as not something I can do?

Almost forgot, I found and fixed "part" of my boot leak. One of the trim fixings was so lose it was doing nothing. I've sealed them and tightened, but still definitely have a leak from higher up, as water is sitting ion that little box section - looks like its dripping from above there somewhere.

I removed the trims around the rear window, and applied a bit of sealant underneath the edge of the glass. Seems to have done the trick.

I already fixed:
- Rear light seals
- Damaged rubber seal from the bootlid
- Loose trim fixing
- Dislodged air vent behind bumper

At the moment it has been dry for a few weeks now.

Soaked all the nuts and bolts associated with removing the front suspension arm with penetrating oil , inspected hub carrier tower say whether the ball joint locating hole has elongated. Oh and washed the steering wheel after covering it in dirty hand prints lol

With regards Oil changing-
Yes I did the same thing last week-makes it very easy,no crawling around underneath and messing with the undertray.
This pump doesn't need priming,if under 3m ,so simple to use ,with my cordless drill.
It says water pump, but does oil as well.

Fitted a new battery, same as what was fitted previously from the local motor factors. The one that failed was two months out of warranty but more interesting was the fact it had almost doubled in price!
