Hi Mark.
I first scrap out most of the gunge with an old hack saw blade, then spray inside the manifold with Oven cleaner left for about a couple of hours or longer depending on how long you have, after that I jet wash it out until it is clean inside.

Sometimes you may have to do it again or even a couple of more times all depending on how bad it is in the first place, hang it up to dry or blow it out with an air line.

All the rubber seals must be removed and wipes clean before refitting after the big clean up.

Air con discharged recharged and oiled only had 150ml left in her ,now full 500 happy days , will be done every year to save compressor

Hope you have a good journey.Used to do that crossing and Dover Ostend many times. Now use the shuttle.
