Default Diesel Thermostat Tolerance

Hi, Diesel stat fully open at 88 degrees, (+ or - 2 degrees), so Stux99 just out of spec it would appear. Also consider your coolant temp sensor that may give wrong readings as well.

No change it now while it's cold, you know it makes sense

Agree with that JRT
Sensors can change their characteristics with age, in a small percentage of cases.
Always best to get an independent thermometer reading.
There are some on the market now you just aim like a torch at a particular area you want to measure.
(very accurate by all accounts and good for finding hot spots)

I have a surface temp probe for work, where would I get best reading? Or would one of those IR jobs do it? I think Maplin do them, must look...
