Sorry, not confirmed as yet. Graham has been in touch with Tam asking about a swap but I was giving it a little time to see if anyone else was able to help and maybe pick up the Fort William to Dalwhinnie leg. I have a mobile number for Graham1961 and will PM it to you if it will be him. Let you know as soon as possible. Derek

OKay thanks for that confirmation. As I remember you do not have sufficient time to start at Fort William so will handover at Dalwhinnie? Do you know Dalwhinnie at all? Is there an obvious handover spot or will it simply be at the Town sign on the edge? Anna, you nominated Dalwhinnie. Did that by any chance mean you know the area and can recommend a handover point? Also, Tam and Graham, do you have a handover point arranged for Perth? Graham, are you happy enough with Edinburgh Castle Esplanade for handing over to Mick? Derek

That looks an excellent choice as it is quite large on the Google Maps satellite image as I will enter Dalwhinnie from the A889. So, Tam, Dalwhinnie Distillery at approximately 01:00. At present we have: STAGE 7 Handover from Stage 6 - Justmicky & Merl LEG 1: Glasgow (Glasgow Science Centre) 19:30 to Crianlarich 21:15 (57 miles) Scooterchick (lead) & Derekosb LEG 2: Crianlarich 21:30 to Fort William 23:00 (52 miles) Derekosb (lead) & Scooterchick (part) LEG 3: Fort William 23:15 to Dalwhinnie 01:00 (45 miles) Derekosb LEG 4: Dalwhinnie (Dalwhinnie Distillery) 01:15 to Perth (St. Johnstone FC Stadium) 03:15 (57 miles) Tammyboy LEG 5: Perth 03:30 to Edinburgh (Edinburgh Castle Esplanade) 04:30 (43 miles) Graham1961 Handover to Stage 8 - Justmicky Derek

Hi Andy
There is no "handover" as such at Fort William as I am continuing to Dalwhinnie myself. Scooterchick has said she will perhaps not be able to manage all the way to Fort William as she has a bad back at the moment. I will assume the lead driver role from Crianlarich to Dalwhinnie so will simply stop in Fort William (probably at the town sign) for a photo record before continuing to Dalwhinnie to handover to Tammyboy. Cheers Derek

Glad to hear you will be okay. I think I will probably end up runnig to Perth in convoy with Tammyboy from Dalwhinnie as it seems the easiest route home in any case. Are you going to manage to Fort William and then head home? Tammyboy and Graham1961, looking at the timings we may end up being able to shave off up to an hour, dependant on how we get on. That could mean possibly being at Dalwhinnie for 23:30 to midnight instead of 01:00 and therefore reaching Perth at around 01:30/02:00 instead of 03:15. Speaking with Justmicky last night he is happy to meet anytime from 03:00 onwards so I will send a text message at each leg point (Crianlarich, Fort William) advising of progress so we have a better idea of rendezvous times. Are both of you able to manage earlier times if we run quicker? Derek
