Can we please return to the Originals Posters Problem Please
as we have now strayed so far off the Genuine problem of Police Response times in this Event. By all means open another Thread on Subject but please keep to correct one here. Please also be careful of using the Phrases about Immigrants etc with reference to Club rules Please. Thanks You. |

I totally agree and support what JDC and GG has said about keeping this thread on topic. If its a debate that people want then there are plenty of debating forums but this is not one of them.
Thread now back on topic and apologies to the OP Ken |

As promised a WPC arrived at our premises on the 29th Jan 08 at 1600 hrs, very apologetic and absolutely ashamed of the fact that it took them 4 days to turn up.
I will say that the WPC concerned was very professional in the way she dealt with our complaint, she had been on rest days to return to my call on her voicemail asking when we would be getting a visit. The information she had received was that she was dealing with just a broken window. (what can I say). The WPC was shown the video tape that we had downloaded of the three little tykes onto cd and was also given a demonstration of our cctv system in action, she was amazed at just how good our security system is. The Police Officer who dealt with our "shall we say" enquiry, is the new Beat Officer for our area, she was also given written information about all the tv's that were stolen. She did ask if we had ever met our old Beat Officer?, met him we did not even know we had one. I will keep you all informed of progress as and when it is available, thank you all for your contributions some of it has been used with reference to this incident.

What a sorry tale this is. 4 days to arrive at a crime scene, terrible.
Many of us moan about the police, complaining about response times and speed cameras etc, but in truth isn't it just down to the government running the police force as a business rather than a public service. I work for a very large company where everything is stripped down to the bare minimum to save money. We even have to ask for the key to unlock the cupboard for the printer paper ten times a day. I see the police being run in the same way, where the top brass are just management. I for one wouldn't want to be a copper.

I'd heard about that Tatts but thought it may have been an urban myth.
Still an appalling response time in Raggity's case though.
