Very intersesting read. I have wince 6.1 on my smartphone and have played around with that a bit and I am considering wether I'm brave enough to buy the patch/programme for $10 and do the usb mod to enable a keyboard or posibile G3 wifi on the Navi side
Following the thread on the Golf forum It appears that the radio/TVv/BT side is run in Linux and I was hoping the BT address book could be added but it dosen't seem possible.

Production estimates are usually fairly accurate but development and additions I can tell you are NEVER Accurate 1 month can turn into 3 easily. Imagine that they have to gather orders for 40 or 50 units , Submit the orders , wait for the redevelopment and then testing. And then production.
I have waited 3 months on the average for such things with the sellers telling me "next week" every week for 3 months !

Its a shame they can not give a confirmed delivery on the items we require, if they have to wait for a set quantity before they proceed why can they not let us know.

Everything except the Satnav side is run under the dvd chip firmware which is made by Sunplus.

Because then they may not have your order !
Idealistically they should preorder with a deposit at least and THEN go out and get the orders because they would have a receiving date. BUT The try to do things backwards, get the orders, then place the development and production orders. I have had experience with Haulingan in the past.

Find the link to her MSN address on website. You will conduct the whole deal via Messenger. She will give you email address for PayPal, and send you a purchace invoice via Excel attachment. All very straight forward
