What a fantastic weekend! Enjoyed POL despite the queues and freezing cold - at least it didn't rain like last year, and today was unbelievable. I know the organisation that goes into such events, having been Treasurer (and on the Committee) of the Triumph 2000/2500 Owners Club for the past 22 years, so I thank everyone who gave their time, energy and help. It was nice to meet up and put some faces to the names on the Forums.

Once again thanks to all.

Don't get too excited....!
When you get up there you find out that the lower roof obscured half of the cars on display so couldn't get everything in which was a shame
Next time round they have offered the club the use of the Cherry Picker to get a 'proper' wide angle effort
I shall post up the pictures from up top tomorrow as I've only just got back home and haven't the energy to start uploading photos

Anyhow, a massive thank you to the green team who organised a fantastic weekend and I for one have had a great time admiring the cars and meeting many members for the first time even though I feel through here I've known them for ages

A big thank you for the North East crew for lending us the gazebo to set up shop from as well, very much appreciated....Thanks Guys

We would also like to congratulate the Club on attaining the record attendance of 139 cars, well done & many thanks to all who made this possible, the magic figure of 100 used to be the one to try & better,we know we have bettered that at various meets,Kens record of 118 at Cosford standing since 2009,150?a new magic figure to reach,oh what a lovely dream.

May I use this post to pass on to Andy [Trikey] & his good Lady, our very sincere thanks & appreciation for all the work that was carried out on the "Vixen"a couple of weeks ago, without which,it would not have been possible to attend this weekend, cheers Guy's we can't thank you enough.

Particular thanks to Patrolman Pete for good conversation - you are a real gentleman.

All the best and I hope you all got home safely.
I enjoyed chatting to you too. I was half way up the M1 when I realised I'd forgot to show you where the 8mm bolt is to replace to intercooler O rings!

We surpassed our previous attendance total of 118 cars at RAF Cosford in 2009, with a staggering 139 vehicles today - a new record.

It was a pleasure to meet and chat to members old and new, and I am personally delighted to have been able to drive car #1 into position today.

It really is immaculate, just as it would have been sitting in a showroom back in 1999. The leather still smelled new and the engine purred.

Oh, and the mileage on the clock....?

Must be the lowest mileage 75 that exists

It was in storage when I was last at Gaydon (Allegro 40th last year), so sadly I haven't seen it myself

For the Allegro 40th we were allowed the last Allegro made to be put out the front on display, but it wouldn't start (dead fuel pump) so us members of the Allegro Club had to push it from the workshop out to the grass at the front of the museum!! Ironic given the Allegro's (genuinely unfair!) reputation

P.S. Did 10001 have a driver's cupholder??
