Pop in the chemists

Russ
It isn't sold in chemists any more - I went into 5 chemists to find it before applying the Zaino. Each chemist told me they are not allowed to sell it.

A big thanks to BigRuss for his testing and suggestions - allowed me to 'keep it together' while I waited for Drcolorchip to reply :-) DrColorChip themselves have been great. They sent several large emails to me making suggestions as to what went wrong.

So, if we can't use surgical spirit, it has to be that tape head clener stuff from Maplin? Is that the same as sticky label remover? Is the stuff in the spray cans OK to use?

We get it in 5 litre bottles at work but I think it is now sold only to commercial / industrial concerns.

Interesting that M.O.D banned M.E.K. we still use it at work....mind you lots of VERY nasty solvents/compounds/sealers/oils in aviation, even hydraulic fluid and engine oil have organophosphates in their makeup....very nasty, so we have to be VERY carefull.P.

Just to update everyone on my problems using DrColorChip using the 'road rash' technique of wiping the paint on then removing. In my case, the paint hardened straight away, with the SealAct removal liquid not removing the excess.

DrColorChip have sent me many messages over the last few days, and have been very helpful in sorting out the problem. they are at a loss why the paint hardened so quickly, but have suggested too thick an application and/or a faulty jar of paint.

I have edited the first post to let others know DrColorChip helped solve the problem very quickly. I am more than happy with the service given by them.
