Replaced dead passenger door lock actuator on the CDT. Lubricating the door handle and lock mechanism made operation so much nicer that I then removed the other three door cards and lubricated all the door handles.

Washed and hovered Mrs MSS' Twintop in readiness for the summer weather forecast for the second half of the week.

Replaced dead battery with new one - EXIDE Premium EA900 - 90ah, 720A, 315/175/190 for ~£81. Took £10 for the old one.
Fits perfectly into the plastic box - filled it entirely
Satisfied

Changed the offside outer headlight bulb. What a pig of a job especially as the wire spring was not the original Rover one.

Found it easier to remove the front wheel enabling me to get my head in to be able to then see almost all of the bulb socket. Also removed the wash bottle neck.

Jacked car up and decided the surface rust on my OSR sill is actually too far gone to be treated and painted. Went back inside huffing and puffing.

Cleaned probably 14 years worth of crud from the door jambs and hinges. Someone had got carried away with the spray grease can at some point in the cars life. Messy business!

Changed the engine oil, filter and air filter. Disposed of old oil and filters at local 'recycling centre', was the Council Dump before Council went Posh!
