At least I have started to do both
What did you use to debobble?

A jml bobble off from argos! Works very well indeed, takes a while though, some use disposable razors with good results

Fitted a new VDO MKON supplied In Tank Fuel Pump.

Very straightforward to fit and now means I can get up steep hills (and there are a few in North Wales!) without the engine struggling.

Out of interest I dismantled the old failed pump which has covered 220k miles.

I was expecting to find that the brushes had just completely worn away but interestingly they looked almost new. The motor had in fact seized up and burnt all the copper off the commutator

Now just awaiting a new UBP as it has started needing a bit of a "tap" every now and then.

Tonight installed BMW Widescreen and receiver in place of original highline kit, looks great can't wait for freeview box now . Then later on just went for a drive in Essex countryside for no reason other than the hell of it
