And removed the offending V6, turns out three piston crowns had met valves, as I need a gearbox too it’ll be easier to drop a full engine and box in at once.

Drove to the Norfolk and Norwich Rover owners fund raising classic car day at Sandringham. Parked next to an immaculate 1956 Rover 75 which was awarded best Rover on one side and a gorgeous MG ZT V8 on the other. Plenty of other classics around and plenty to see on the Sandringham estate. Excellent day all round apart from Sally Satnav taking me down all the backroads again. Must have a look at the Sygic settings. I thought that I switched tiny roads off but maybe I switched them on! Technophobe in action!

Fitted the front end back onto the ZT (yesterday), after manufacturing a replacement bonnet pull cable, and overhauling the latches.
Today we took a run out to Housesteads fort on Hadrian's Wall and did absolutely nowt until after I'd taken the dog for his evening constitutional. I then fitted the replacement bonnet striker pin which I had over at the workshop.........fully functional bonnet once more, followed by coding eight spare ECM to have in the boot, in case it rains Funny coloured one coming off the road as of tomorrow, so back to stirring the cogbox again, I can't wait Brian |

Nowt major washers were struggling, thought it was pump. Took it out and it pumped like billyoe from a jug. Removed rubber grommet in tank found the mesh on it gumed up. then cleaned and greased front brake pipes where they join flexies. So cathartic.
