The rear diff oil was changed which Land Rover for some unknown reason says filled for life, other makers Volvo Jag, Ford, say changed every 2yrs.
1 2 3 the oil has to be sucked out Land Rover once again surpassed them selves by not add a drain plug, come summer i will drill and tap one in the bottom of the diff. 4 700ml out 5 700ml back in. 6 PTU tomorrow weather permitting

[QUOTE]Hi Andy.
Thank you, it turns on when you open the door, turns off again after about 40secs if the car as not been started, turns off once you lock the car, not to much routing of the wires, which have been tidy up now just inside the left panel. 1 2 Have good birthday by the way

This week, I have mostly been ignoring my 75(s) in favour of tinkering with a very very cheap 7-series I have misguidedly bought with a few mates.
So far, on the 'success' list we have: Managed to convince the gearbox to work again, with a seal kit, new filter and fluid change Fixed the headlights (remove the bumper and light assemblies to change a bulb - ffs) Changed engine oil and filter, air and fuel filters Replaced the power steering fluid radiator (peed on my drive one night) Bought it a shiny pair of tyres (surprisingly cheap) Sorted the sunroof drains that were piddling into the front footwells Now it just need the crank pulley to hang together long enough to sliiiiide it through an MOT. Luck? Yes please. |

I didnt buy a new one but did find while sorting bout the filing cabinet full of car, house, tax stuff etc a 2003 R75 brochure with a separate price list! A few years ago I bought a tourer for £300 that wouldn't hold the charge in the battery. Turned out to be the radio/satnav that was the problem so pulled the fuse and haven't done anything to fix it (yet). The 1st R75 I bought was a basic saloon with fabric seats that had been a demonstrater and was about £10,500. The tourer had high sat nav (about £3000 as an extra, drivers seat memory, sunshine roof and cruise control. I MUST try and get more of the bits working.

Today I didn't replace the lift struts on the tailgate of my ZT-T because the struts I received from an e-bay seller turned out to be the wrong ones.
(I suspect they are the struts for the saloon boot) I also didn't replace the backbox hanger as they are out of stock with the usual suppliers. Rimmers site originally showed them arriving of Feb. 15th, now it's been pushed back to May 15th. DMGRS is also out of stock. Oh well, back to the TV.
