New PF bush yellow for diesel
Just an update. Had the 'new improved' bush fitted the other day. The mechanic who did the job said it looked 'ok'. Oops, I thought, have I just flashed out for nowt?! BUT, driving home, I thought 'oh yesss'. No judder on take up. None of the vibration when pulling off on a slope and throttle response seems better (weird huh?).
Vibration at idle seems fine, better probably. In the past few days though, with temps well down again, it seems like the bush firms up at low temps, so vibration is more noticeable at first, but gets better as the bush 'warms up'. If any issues arise, I'll let y'all know. |

Hi all
I have a 53 plate Mgzt cdti with a knackered mount. Can anyone give me a link to where I can buy this newly designed yellow rear engine mount you refer to so I can buy one? Thanks Chris |

Go to Powerflex web site and take it from there.

Bought one of my 75s last year with the PF yellow mounts fitted, it was the worse car I have drove ever for vibrations, it sounded like the exhaust was vibrating against the bodywork, bought OEM from Rimmers and is now like a new car, will be rubber mountings for me in future and may try the Chinese one next time, my view is forget the plastic mounts.

Fitted the Chinese one off ebay two weeks ago and am amazed at the difference it's made. Benefits I can list are - Far less vibration - Engine pulls cleaner in all situations -Gears changes are smoother - No clonking when starting/ turning off engine - Looks bigger in the mirror (wait that's something else )...
Overall I'm pleased with it, certainly worth the £55. |

4000 miles on the latest Yellow PF Bush.
Just an update of the latest edition of the Yellow bush.
managed to get under the ZT today , despite the rain. So here a couple pics of the latest Bush as fitted to my ZT Diesel auto. Just on 4000 miles and one winter since fitting. Even taking into account the photo angle, see how much my mountings are out of line ?. But the bush is still in there , no apparent wear or movement so far . As for vibration its the same as when it was fitted , slightly noticeable vibration when you first start cold and the car is over fueling , after a mile or 2, then much smoother . As I've mentioned before it should just be made a tiny bit softer and it would be perfect ! Chris PS a few rusty patches to treat when it dries up a bit !!

Thank you for reporting back as promised most appreciated glad to hear it seems to be doing it's job, would have been even better if they could have sent us a few more to test for free they went ahead and started selling them of part of the basis of your first report and after 3 months and as you as 4000 miles down the road and all seems to be ok got to be better than the red one which was chewing up. I have no doubt if you had fitted the red one with your mount out of line like that it would have either torn up or have some sign of wear hope it last a few years for you etc cheers Arctic.

Alignment
That is interesting since the misalignment suggests that the Hydramount is sitting lower than it should? I was not aware that the Hydramount could sit lower, it is the passenger side top mount which could drop slightly if the rubber sagged.
