Oh man, that is a weight off my mind. Had a phone call from the insurance, they'd looked at the assessor's report and were amazed he took no note of what he was actually looking at, could have been a 1.8 for all he knew! Thankfully somebody realised just what a MG ZT260 is and passed it to their specialist classics department. The upshot is I retain the car, no markers on it and a substantial cheque in the post which should more than cover repairs.

Thanks guys, the guy I spoke to had studied the assessor's photos and reckons a decent body shop will have no problem with the work. Have to say he didn't have a very high opinion of the assessor!

Evenin' all, I've been sorting out a bit of stuff in the garage this afternoon & It's absolutely perishing out there now falling to -3 tonight, Time for tea & feet up. Pork chop & mixed root veg mash & broccoli with onion gravy
