Before I forget, are those top damper nuts re-usable (2 per side)?

Bumper came off without any damage, apart from 2 of the 5 plastic scrivet thingies which refused to separate and had to be provoked with a drill. I might put something stainless in there instead?

My dampers came with new nuts, and I had bought new new nuts for the mounts (I was replacing the other nuts and bolts anyway, 4 more nuts werent that much more).

The plastic scrivets should have been able to carefully prise out with a screwdriver. Any that I had issue with, were prised out and reshaped to fit again.

If you heat the end of a Phillips screwdriver and push it into the cross head mark on the plastic screw, remove the screwdriver, then let it cool, the head will then grip and can usually be persuaded out. I've also used this method on the wing liner fixings to good effect. Don't get it too hot or it will just melt everything!!!

No new nuts with my new dampers. I'll get some from Rimmers.

The scrivets wouldn't come out by prising, not without damaging the bumper anyway.

Good idea. I hadn't thought of that.
