K-Bus ?
I'm still having intermittent issues, which I believe are down to the K-Bus (plenum is clear and can't find any other water ingress). The tell tail indicator light works intermittently as do the clock, heater, rear window heater, radio illumination, seat controls and volume control on the steering wheel.
Obviously the car will fail its MOT due to the indicators, I really like the car and it used to be a MG Rover press car and I don't want to scrap it. Could someone advice the best way to get to the K BUS connections in the drivers foot, just taking the lower cover off doesn't give hardly any room to get at the wiring, or any other suggestions please. (it's a petrol v6 190).

Thanks Simon, yes I did, but one of the issues is access, I can't get enough access by just removing the bottom kick plate and am wonder what else I could remove to get better access.

Worth posting this again from MGMarc.
Would like to update this thread for members who may have K Bus issues in the future When diagnosing a difficult K Bus fault I found this to be the best method 1) Locate connector co289 behind the driver kick panel, it is a grey connector taped to the main loom 2) Label the ten wires (white with a red line and yellow band) so they can go back ito the correct pin hole on the connector 3) Remove all ten wires, this is achieved by gently prising up the plastic and pulling the wire out 4) Insert pins 2, 3 and 4 which are the main K Bus interfaces IPK, LSM and BCU 5) Switch on the ignition and put the indicator stalk on left or right (You should have an indicator tell tale light on the dash) 6) Put each K Bus wire back into the connector one at a time in 20 second intervals (this gives the IPK time to test and realise there is a fault on that wire) When you place a wire in that has a fault the indicator tell tale on the dash fails to illuminate |

Sorted (hopefully)
I think I've sorted it, looked for errors using TOAf and got this.
87- K bus Error count 252 Short circuit to ground Sporadic error C7 lever-type 1 sensor Errors counts 0 short circuit to batt+ Sporadic error I looked at the wiring and found that the wiring in the drivers A pillar had been butchered. I've rewired and taped it up and so far (3 days) no issues.

Yes, well done Marcus. I'm curious to know how those enigmatic TOAF messages led you to the driver's 'A' pillar?
