Just wanted to say i got the car put through a full diagnostics, and had a couple of minor things fixed up. I went with Pickards, namely because when i rang and asked a few questions they did actually sound interested and knowledgeable.

Ive dealt with some bad mechanics before, so i tend to paint them all with the same brush and go in with a mindset of "how will they try to screw me this time". But Pickard's I found to be quite excellent. They definitely know the car, and i like the fact they did a mechanical inspection first, then hooked it up to the diagnostics - this was a good sign to me. As i think if they just hook it up with no error codes = no problems attitude, then it defeats the purpose of taking it to someone with experience.

They even took the time to go through each and every point, outlining what was causing issues, how major it was, what my options for repair/replacement are, and approximate costs, and answered ever question i had even when i was picking my car up at closing time.

Pickards will be doing all my work that i cannot do myself on this car. They really did impress me. And i would recommend them to others.

Price i found quite reasonable, obviously would have been cheaper to source parts myself, but what i did need they had onhand, and wasn't outrageously priced.

Thumbs up from me for Pickard's of Melbourne

Great news Kman!

Good to hear you had a great experience with Pickards. Always good to hear of a UK car specialist living up to expectations when we're so far away from parts and model expertise.

Glad you love your toy ... enjoy!
