MOT Question
My ZT is due for an MOT at the end of February.
My question is, if I stick it in a couple of weeks before it's due, and it fails, is my original MOT still valid? The reason I'm asking is because if it failed on anything I'd be doing the work myself, so I want to put it in early and if it fails still have time to put it right. |

According to the mechanic who tested my car,NO, as you will invalidate your insurance as knowingly drive your car in an unroadworthy condition, ie know that it has defects.

Your current mot will still be valid if the car fails. It will not invalidate the existing mot.

Check with 'search function' many previous posts on this subject some with DVLA quotes, IIRC they say original valid until expiry date, but depending on reason for fail, car must still ne in road worthy condition.
