See one of these every day Ronnie and, every time I see it, I can't help thinking 'what were they thinking'................foul things and even worse from the rear

if you want ugly, then the yanks do it better than anyone else, especially when it comes to the land yachts of the 1970's
i give you the 1976 Chrysler New Yorker (the maroon one) and the similar generation Lincoln Town Coupe (the brown one, hmmmmmm brown....) and god knows how much i would love to own something like one of these! slightly smaller than the Queen Mary, double figure (just) mpg's and wobbly like a jelly when on the road, fantastic! dunno where exactly i could park a beast though.... then there is everyone's favorite whippin' boy, the Allegro. which i like the looks of a lot (a hell of a lot in fact!). i find them really frendly looking, all round and cuddelly which was not what folks wanted in 1973, come forward 25 plus years, and guess what, nearly every other car on the road is some blobby thing.
