How about one of us puts a thermostat housing in a bucket of OAT and deposits it with a reputable firm of solicitors with instructions that our respective children/ grandchildren / nominated persons as yet unborn check it at regular agreed intervals and see how long it takes to dissolve?

Or could it be settled with a tug-of-war match? OATies V Ringers?

Default Metal thermostats

Hi Kaiser,

Thank you for forwarding the information. I have taken the manifolds off and the leak is at the straight pipe where it joins the housing. I am going to try and get the thermostat off without breaking it and then will go from there.

One point, with regard to your metal thermostat I gather that it opens at a much lower temperature than standard. Is it possible to change the thermostat for another one?

Regards,

Martin

If the thermostat fits, it can be fitted. The unit starts opening at 80.
With this thermostat you will see typical temperatures from 85 to 95, when driving.
