Default Project Binky

To all those folks following "Project Binky" on Youtube, a new episode has just been posted:

To those unfamiliar, the whole series (21 & counting) really is worth a watch - a classic Mini being re-worked by 2 guys in their own workshop to accept a new engine and 4 wheel drive. The amount of work being undertaken, and the standard they're setting is simply breathtaking.

The emphasis is very much on the engineering and fabrication side of things, and it should definitely appeal to the more technically minded amongst the membership.

Just a shame they're putting all their blood sweat and tears into a Mini............ Sorry, just detest the atrocious contraptions. Can only improve things I guess.

They're only using the bodyshell, and most of that has been re-fabricated. Everything else, from engine to wiring loom is either scratch built, or sourced elsewhere and modified to fit. It really is a quite astonishing build.

Just started watching it very interesting. Does try to add humour to make it stand out from an open university program.

Series 2 currently in discussion! £10 subscription though ............ worth it I think ....plus random chance to win the finished article. I think these pair are going to be accidental stars (deservedly in my eyes), and judging by the sponsorship they have gained along the way, some decent companies are taking notice.
