I remember that type of watch was for sale on eBay, up to about a year ago.
They were priced in Euros and were from an ex Rover dealer in Germany, who was clearing their remaining stock.

Perhaps, if they checked the box and certificate, it might pinpoint it from Germany?

Could be, I'll ask when I next see him. But if given to dealers in Germany, would they not also be available to dealers in the UK ?
