Default 75 diesel engine will not rev

Hi my engine would not rev and my car would only go slowly. I found that a fuse was blown. The fuse was in the fuse box under the bonnet, front passenger side, I think f5. twice in 5 years this has had to be replaced, might help. porthboy

The price has increased slightly in the intervening years since I last bought one, but the throttle demand pedal can be found HERE Steve

Hi Brian.
We eventually a good second hand one, and to make sure I also got one from Mickyboy Turned out in the end once the pedal was replaced and the faults cleared it would drive ok for a while then it was back in limp mode, unplugged the MAF and all is ok drives as it should, once the MAF is plugged back in limp mode right away.

He is at present driving with the MAF disconnected until he can get either a good known used Bosch or new Bosch MAF.

He message me just before he went to Greece for his holiday that the crack pulley as now given way, so another job to be dealt with these cars will give you lots of trouble if you only check them out once every six months or so, which the owner is omitted too.

It is basically driven with out any weekly checks, in my opinion asking for trouble.
