Took my leaking power steering hose to the local hydaulic place to repair it and re-fitted it to the car. Access to the steering rack connection is a bit fiddlly.

They used just one length of hose, doing away with the right anle steel bend (KV6).

Now to ovehaul the pump.

Thumbs up

Yesterday, whilst it was still dry, I fitted one of Arctic's Stainless Steel Compensators onto the ZT's handbrake. Posted the original back to him today.

Not bought one and I believe they come abroad, but the bearing itself that I bought was stamped FAG.

Had a bit of a flap when I realised that Gretna is tomorrow and not next week...

So new front exhaust rubbers on, all fluids and tyres checked, and given a quick wash including engine bay and door shuts.

It's a million miles from being a showpiece, but it's looking semi-respectable for a daily driver. I'm sure 70 miles up the M6 will change that though.

Nowt really, it was hoying it down intermittently, so I picked the most promising time for a walk with the hound, and made it around without getting drenched.

Even more bored with sitting in the house, I drove it into Newcastle, parked it up, then took a relaxing stroll in the most persistent of rain showers, with what seemed like thousands of other people out for a walk.

The rain was interspersed with brilliant hot sunshine, resulting in lots of rainbows and what have you.

Chatted with loads of new people and had lots and lots of fun

I then borrowed a van and collected a 40 year old jukebox to repair as a little project.

Came home and guess what, the hound wanted to go out for another walk, but I managed to scoff steak and chips with salad first

Nice day, shame about the weather though

I dodged the showers rather well too, got Rogues leaky water pipe changed and Ian G's cruise fitted and headlights swapped over, then took doglets out for a walk. all is good
