Easy enough.
Ideally you need the cabling that runs down the offside pillar to the multiconnector just above the dash.
You can of course patch new cables in. There are three connections.
Earth, Ignition feed and feed from the lights.
Earth can come from the the interior light earth and then you have only two connections to do in the pillar.
Cant remember the colours off hand but I'm sure someone can give the info, unless you decide to do it with a multimeter.

I done it a few weeks ago, bought mirror 1st then after a while got a complete loom off e-bay,which looked a maze. But found that the plugs on it ran from front pillar to fr interior light and mirror then overhead to rear light and high brake light. Seemed a little bit daunting at first but went O.K.

Hi.
Slight error on my part.
Wiring is as follows.
From the mirror connections
Black----- Earth.
Yellow ------ To ignition controlled 12 v supply
Green ------- to reverse lights.
The Header K109 though is normally in the bottom of the pillar for these connections.
The green connection only disables the mirror operation when reversing..
The wiring diagram is on Page 141 of Rave in circuit diagrams.

Does the "dimming mirror" fit on the same mount as the standard mirror which is already bonded to the screen ?

You don't need the wire to the reverse. I believe the wire for the reverse stops the mirror dimming when in reverse. If you are running wires for the self dimming mirror, you may as well run it in.

Absolutely and reversing with someone behind on dip lights looking in the mirror can be difficult. I didn't connect the reverse lead on MFL and found reversing easier with the mirror dimmed. Each to their own though.

It's only three wires, but there are two different A pillar plugs, check which one you have first. You will need to obtain the pin receptacles from a scrappy as I did, as I wanted to wire mine into the existing plugon the A pillar.
Worth knowing if you have curtain airbags too as the A pillar trim is fastened to the airbag
