Default under seat airbag connectors

I have had an intermittent airbag light. I think it is the connector under the passenger seat. I unplugged and cleaned the connector a while ago and it cured it for a few months, but has now come back again intermittently. More wiggling, cleaning etc, and now the light is on all the time!
So I think it is time to go the replace the connector route. I don't really want to permanently solder the wires, so would prefer to replace with some other sort of connector.

So ... wondering what types of connectors people have used successfully?

thanks.

Hi David.
These are a good alternative to the original ones, if you are going to change them over.

Used successfully at a few Nano meets, i made these up myself but you can order them already made.

Thanks Steve I recently got hold of some of these, but the type without the wires as they were out of stock.

10 pairs of connectors for £5.49 but you have to crimp the contacts onto the wires then insert them into the connector blocks.
Bit fliddly but once you've got the orientation right the contacts just clip into place in the connectors.

Hi Russ.
I made my own up as well, but you can still get them already made up.

I also like the look of these below, connectors only though.

Then there are these which seem to screw together.

When I was removing my interior to dry the carpets, I found that the wires for the airbag on the passenger seat had been soldered, so I had to cut them to remove the seat. I didn't have any connectors to hand when refitting, so I used standard choc-block connectors, but crimped some ferrules onto the ends of the wires first, to make a more secure mechanical connection.

When I fitted my DRLs, I ordered some of these connectors from Aliexpress. They do need to be crimped, though.

If the OEM connectors haven't otherwise been damaged the problem is an easy fix. The (usually) intermittant signal is due to the plug assembly being 'stretched' thro' the mobile nature of the seat geometry creating a minute make/break condition (termed 'fretting') and has a lot to do with the SRS wire routing - the AMP plugs are otherwise fine.
Search for MG Rover Group Technical Bulletin TB0133 that explains everything in detail (whilst your at it also take a look at TB0015 and TB0029 covering related issues)

I had the damn airbag light trouble, it took ages to sort out, and at the moment I have just some simple spade terminals looking after the issue for me.
I can confirm the terminals Artic has posted a picture of are well made and should of done the job for me.
I used them, and went to the trouble of soldering the wires in rather than just crimping them, but unfortunately the problem was further down the line, and I had a break in the wiring.
I have every intention of replacing the spade terminals with the above shown plug connectors.
They do give have the profesional feel to them which standard spades or bullets dont.
