Morning all - another cold one here. We've still got the remains of yesterday's snow hanging around, and it's cloudy enough to chuck some more down I suspect. Still cold - the heating is on again I fear

Be wary if you ever use Morrisons Home delivery and order gluten free pizza; they do one of their own brand (simple, margherita type) at 80p each. We ordered 3 - total £2.40. As they were out of stock, they substituted another brand - at £3 each - so I was going to get a bill for £9 instead of £2.40
Most gluten free foods do taste different - a bit more rubbery is a fair description I think. The missus has been on a medical necessity gluten free diet for a number of years now - it ain't cheap!

I always describe a gluten free cracker is like eating a beer mat

Pleased to say that Tesco only charge the same price as your order, not that of substitutes. "Every little helps!"

I see the MP,s are now debating the Brexit deal and then having a vote on it.

The likely outcome of the vote will be,Manchester United will be awarded a penalty.

Afternoon all, Brr! It's icy & perishing out there with a blanket of freezing fog descending now. I've been up into the attic to see if I can make out where this leak is coming from but everywhere is dry & no sign of any leaks coming from the roof or pipework!!!

Trying hard to snow here, light but steady. Supposed to have been going shopping today but I'm feeling well below par, headache, stiff and sore, like a flu rather than the bug, none of the classic symptoms. Had to brave the elements to look after our feathered friends, fill the feeders before they nominated someone to tap on the lounge window!

Oh yes there is.......

SWMBO has had her tendon repair and is back at home.

Foot is in plaster, non weight bearing for a few weeks and a whole load of aids to help her get around the house.

As expected, the medical & nursing staff were brilliant and the consultant was erm.... less than complimentary about the system/admin... that meant she hadn't been in theatre on Sunday.

Looks like an even quieter New Year than it was already going to be .
