Have you tried to connect the System to a Notebook ? This would make it easier to update or configure the system i think. Maybe it should work via the USB connection ?

No USB computer connection but I have had the unit to pieces and there is a serial port connection on the main board.

It sounds awesome, i was sat in the car when Graham turned it up running off the micro sd card and its loverly and crisp with nice bass too, just as you'd expect from the standard unit

Hi Paul,
There is no subscription charge in the UK if you want the premium TMC then it is chargeable, but you do not need it, it is free from the local radio stations, I have the TMC on my head unit and on my PDA (just in case I use another car) and it works very well.

i have been reading the thread on tother side and it would appear aprice hike is in the offering. You can now pay by Pay pal but it carries an 40usd charge!.
