Default 1.8 V CDTi

Yet more questions I'm afraid.

Have posted a few question here regarding the ZT CDTi. I do about 20000 miles p/year and as I carn't afford to run a V6 anymore so this seemed the logical choice.

However the small ads are littered with ZT 1.8's which I've never really considered assuming them to be to small an engine for what is a heavy car.

Would be interesting to know what their owners think of them. Like how much mpg, do they drive well etc etc etc. I do seem to remember reading that you could have problems with this particular engine. Any thoughts.

Once again, thanks all for any info.

Pete.

My old 1.8 tourer used to go ok, it did 38 MPG. I had a 1.8turbo saloon before that, that also did 38 mpg. They can suffer from water leaks and head gasket failure, but it would seem there is a reliable modification now for this issue, do a search for mls gasket.
