Default Helensburgh Winter Festival 2023

After a lot of consideration, I stepped back from the organisation team for Helensburgh Winter Festival in 2022. I will not be involved in organising the Vehicle display for 2023 and I have not heard if one is being organised.

The Festival is still very much going ahead, and if any members fancy a "Mini Meet" in Helensburgh over the festival weekend, please send me a message. I'd be more than happy to meet up. This year the dates are 9th and 10th December.

Hi Tim, I was in Helensburgh today and was thinking about the car show you held. Sorry to hear you are not involved now. It looks like its going ahead but no mention of a car show.

Hi Glenn,

Yes, I ended up as a Festival Trustee but resigned last year.

In association with other MGR clubs I managed to get a display together for the last 9 years. There have been issues every year with vehicles blocking the area allocated to us. But last year, with the problems I had with stall holders leaving vehicles in our display area and refusing to move, I'd just had enough.

I'd like to thank everyone who has attended over the years, especially Bluejon, Silvervixen, Diesel Dick and Brian and Linda for being real troopers and coming almost every year. Without them I'd probably have packed it in before this.
