hello new member here
Hi, just joined the forum. We recently did a straight swop for a MG ZT120 with a 28,000 miles 04 Nissan X-Trail, which to be fair was a luverly vehicle to drive, but it was the thought of the tax almost tripleling to nearly £600 a year which finally sealed its fate.
We were looking at a Suzuki when my eye caught the MG sat forlornly in the corner, it looked fabulous and i went over to take a closer look, the inside was immaculate and the clock only had 19,000 miles, it was an 05 reg with one lady owner. We snapped it up!!!! I got some pix which need to be uploaded, but its a gorgeous fire red/orangey colour which sparkles in bright sunlight. It was a bit of a change sitting in a sporty low saloon after the x-trail's upright full 360 degrees view, my only real whinge is the rear view mirror tends to take up most of the front windowscreen !!! But im sure i will adjust eventually. Theres bags of power and the ride is gripping, feels like a tiger when the x-trail was a bit of a bull, even with its 2 litre engine. We are based in Scotland and we bought the x-trail 3 years ago when we moved up here, we were expecting proper old fashioned winters with deep snow and blizzards but its not happened, in fact theres hardly any snow at all and i think we used the 4x4 traction twice in that timel. We are going back to N.Yorks soon and i cant wait to get the MG on the open road with plenty of space ahead, just need to watch those damn speed cameras on the A1 ! Norwegianblue |
