Not a V6 I know, but my 1.8 got all the attention it needed, ( and recommendations at service intervals, water pump, cambelt at 90k etc), I got a diesel last month, my 1.8 sold within an hour of my return home, to a friend of my next door neighbour, who knew a lot of the history of the car.
Feedback is the guy who bought it is he is over the moon with it, so there are good ones around. Pay the car the attention it deserves, it will repay you with interest. |

Wow. There is me thinking anything sub £500 would be terrible, and I am straight away proved wrong! I know I need to compromise on something, but I am not sure it would be the engine. I am sure you will sell that, no bother!

A mapped diesel is probably your best bet as you are looking for a daily. Pretty bullet proof engine, good economy and i know of at least one that would give a 190 a run for its money

I waited over a year before one came along that fitted my specs: tourer, auto, 2.5, facelift, sandstone, dark colour, under 100k, ok service history and not the other side of the country.
No regrets, other than how dirty I let it get now.

All I've done is add Rover walnut gear knob and handbrake... 2016 Vauxhall Viva SL (Father Jack) "assisted manual" (auto) in purple. Going rusty underneath already... |
