There's an opportunity here - convince his parents to give him an XFRS Sportbrake fo his next birthday and then fetch it out of the river.

I am applying to be his coolie and personal advisor!

I expect LRJ are having a quiet chuckle over this as well as making sure the story of just how disappointed someone was NOT to get a Jaguar is all over social media.

We might even see a sly reference to it in TV adds - A Jaguar is placed on a river bank - and a BMW floats by in the background......

Our son got a second hand VW Up! and was delighted, a BMW would have blown him away.

You can't blame a spoilt brat for having good taste in cars though ;-) We won a BMW 1 Series back in 2013 and at the time I nearly complained because it wasn't a Jag - it's the only non British car we've had. It been a nice car to own, even if we wouldn't have chosen it ourselves.

I wonder if it was because Jag are owned by an Indian parent company now?

A car's wasted on him - he needs a row-boat

False news. He's a perfectionist, putting the undersealing to the test. One week before the warranty runs out he'll claim and wait for the money. A long time.
