the Grandland has the ability to turn off the Start/Stop too (it's first thing to do after starting the Car - then turn OFF the Lane Departure Warning) it's a Good job it Can be Switched OFF - it never once functioned as i'd expect i.e Stopped at lights with the Parking Brake On, the Start/Stop failed to activate - it kicked in twice, just BEFORE coming to a Stop the Car stalled then started up again - decided this was best switched OFF every journey r.e Vauxhalls - we've always had them in the Family - Wyvern, Viva, Chevette, Various Cavaliers, a few Astras (loved the MK2 Hatch and the Astra Belmont Saloon ) Vectra, A couple of Zafiras and the Grandland now - I don't find the Modern (last 15 years or so) Vauxhalls Comfortable - I've used a Combo(?) Van based on the Corsa - the seats made my Back (mine and others) numb after about 30 mins of driving (no adjustment to compensate) Paul. |

I had a Kia Mentor (remember those?). Everything was simple and manual. Nothing went wrong. It started. It stopped. Perfect! Ran it for three years and traded it in, getting just a few hundred less than I paid for it!!! I talked to the guy that bought it after me (10 year later) and it had passed its test every year and only had brake pad and oil changes!

KIA stonic - only 8000kms on clock but felt like 50000
I was stuck with this for 2 weeks on holiday. I have never driven such an underpowered piece of **** A whole 1 litre of 3 cylinder petrol engine. More power in my lawn mower. And as for the steering, I thought I was going to topple on most bends. The r75 was better in all respects other than wind/tyre noise. |

Funny that, I had2 previous Citroen vans, both were great vans and served me well. So I bought a third. Oh dear me what a mistake. Cost me a small fortune in parts and repairs within 6 months of owning it, and the value has dropped like a rock in the 18 months I have had it. Paid 5k for it, now worth less than 2 with only an extra 10k miles on the clock. Never buy Citroen again.

What is it with Nissan?
As awful as the Juke is they also make an abomination (not sure if it is sold in the UK) called the Murano Convertible. It's much larger than the Juke and even more pukey. I've only ever seen one as people seem to realise how horrendous they are and aren't buying them, thank dog. It made my Wife's boring Kia Sportage look good (and small) parked next to it!
