Reminds me of one of my favourite lines from Only Fools and Horses, Uncle Albert talking about his time in the navy during the war, "It was so cold on the Russian convoys that the flame on my lighter froze".

Reminds me of the time when I was in the Prison Service, I was dealing with an inmate charged with murdering his wife, I was filling out his record and asked him are you married or single.
