Door cards
Has anyone had the problem of the door cards coming away from door along the top? My drivers side door panels seem to do it occasionally and i have to bang them back on.

I've owned 4 Rover 75 and a ZT and they've all done it. Usually back doors I've found.

Yep, mine have done it on all the ones I've had. The clips along the top are 'grabbers'. They have a little pointy bit that digs into the car and holds it in place. I've found that it I lift the card, push it towards the outside of the car and thump it down (with the window open) it gets a better grip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have the same
I have the exact same problem on my passenger side door. The door card is a little bit loose on the top. I can click it in but when somebody closes the door on a normal way it comes out again.
I wonder if there is a way to fix this. |

The answer is a strategically positioned black headed self tapper in the top outer edge of the door card buddy

I found that replacing the top two fir-tree clips with new yellow ones (I think they are yellow), heavier duty than the rest, worked a treat for me. The top two, one left, one right, below the spring clip things on top.
It is easier to place the middle two clips on the door card before re-assembly and align them to the slots in the door, an upward jerk then fits the clip to the door. Hope that helps, just my experience of having the cards off a few time. |

There is a fix! Pull the top of the door card away from the door, then using a screwdriver bend the metal clips at the top to make them grip tightly again. Careful you don't damage the door card leather if levering the screwdriver against it
Had the danger problem myself, five minute fix
