The worst thing I hate about my car
Water condensation inside the window screen (and when cold-Ice)
I have had all the back light seals done and also one of the back strips covered. Even a bolt on the boot that was letting in water. The boot has seemed dry over the last few years but this blasted condensation still resumes? I heard the 75 Contemporary's had various air, pollen etc filters which I had replaced 4 years ago but still every winter, the same problem. Is there a particular air filter that would course this or is it just one of those things

to help reduce it, I saw I think on YouTube, cat litter gel placed into a sock and then left on dashboard. I think rice may do the same but not sure.

If you had a leak in the past, there could still be a fair amount of water held in the carpets - even if they feel dry to the touch. There is a huge amount of foam backing on these carpets that can hold water for a very long time.

I may be misreading, but if it's four years since you changed your pollen filter you need to do that again.
You should also check your plenums - when I bought my saloon it had horrible condensation issues - turned out it had a swimming pool in the plenum drains and a diving pool in the spare wheel well. Clearing the plenums, replacing the seals on the rear lights and replacing the pollen filter left virtually no condensation. What was left, was completely eradicated by buying one of these. You pop it on your dashboard overnight then pop it in your microwave once a month to ''recharge'' it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PINGI-Car-...-/141568927476 |

To me any condensation is the sign of water ingress somewhere

Im surprised this doenst get mentioned more often, if theres a chance of a water leak check the scuttle clips, the holders (cups) they go into can crack out of site and bleed a remarkable amount of wet into the front carpet
A tell tale sign is loose scuttle clips that wont clip in

Doyou use your air conditioning? If not I suggest you go for a long drive to get rid of any condensation throughout the car. I use mine even during the winter to remove moisture from possible wet carpets, not from leaks but just getting in and out of the car in wet weather.

Probably obvious, but if like my wife and leave the climate control on recirculate rather than fresh air all the time then you might be getting the same as her car.
