Clutch not disengaging after fitting new master
As above, it's terperamental, sometimes it's fine, other times it's a panic if your going to be alright without first and second gear
Due to it coming and going since the new master does this point to an air bubble in the system, or is it something more sinister? Had a new borg and beck clutch 30,000 miles back

It wont be a permanent air bubble. That would affect it all the time.
It is most likely the seal in the master cylinder. Badly formed or something catching under the lip of the seal. Occasionally letting some air past.--- |

Hi John , if the master is a OEM one ,it could be the valve syndrome
