The only time my Vitesse broke down was on my way to my very first classic car show at Culzean Castle after the car had been laid up for around 5 years.

I was in the middle of a contra flow at the time when the car simply cut out. I knocked it into neutral, switched on the hazards and coasted for as much as I could then with the car in 4th gear I cranked the starter just enough to get me to the end of the contra flow.
It turned out to be the fuel pump had packed up or jammed but what annoyed me was the number of other classics which passed me with no offer of help.
I phoned the missus and she came out with the 75 and towed me home.

I managed to get to the show albeit a bit late using the 75.
