On the subject of enabling the digital speedo, think someone warned against having it on all the time (Trikey/Klarzy?) as the units were never meant to have this function. Have things changed with this improved designed?

And yes, I'll probably send you my IPK and what promises to be an expensive new screen, just wish the speed of postage was better as I'll have to wait possibly two/three weeks when the IPK is in transit.

Regards

I don't see why running it all the time would be a problem. I've had digital speedometers on my cars for a few years and always have it on. No problem what so ever It's no different to having the MPG display, fuel range, average speed etc on all time... or a bulb warning lol.

That's fantastic news Rick and great to see the work you put in finally paid off. I'll pop a PM over regarding LCD screens and look forward to my IPK coming back for refitting soon.

Certainly my Rover 75 V8 has digital speed display as standard, and generally have it on, as Rick says, without any problem. I think all V8's are like that, and the unit is essentially the same as fitted to all other models.

But it does make me wonder if my red air-bag warning light in the other display being constantly on, is going to be a problem?
No, won't be, that is "standard" too
