As is my norm if I get the opportunity, this morning I attended our local War Memorial. The two minutes came and passed, but nobody else did. There were two fresh little flags in amongst the fading artificial flowers with "VJ" on them.
I gave my thanks to those that gave so much more and considered how lucky I have been. |

Completely forgot about this today
I’ve been quite busy on a renovation project over the last few weeks, not car related but today I was having a day off the project so this morning I was tidying up my back garden when I heard several jets in the air. To my surprise it was the Red Arrows who made a single loop with full colours over Prestwick Airport where apparently they stopped for re fuelling. No idea where they were going and they didn’t show up on Flight Radar 24 Just checked the time on the photo I took, it was 11.48 Last edited by Jim Jamieson; 15th August 2020 at 18:02.. I paid my respects in the garden this morning, the main road was busy as usual, I just wish folk would show respect for those who gave their lives for us.
