The US is actually a dual system country - IS and Metric. And for IS, they have their own mods e.g. US Gallons.

Internationally the US trade in metric.

Reading this "headline" elsewhere it is patently obvious that folks are being wound up by our various media outlets. They are swallowing this hook, line and sinker. The "Get Boris out" team are showing no signs of easing off the gas, yet he remains steadfastly in place. So far. It seems his own party are, not so much lacking the courage to get rid of him, but perhaps more no one is brave enough/stupid enough to take the reins.

Well a GE in a couple of years will save them the trouble. Go team Starmer.

Metric measurements were easy to calculate, being all 10x. But imperial measurements made us better at maths. We had to learn not just the 10x table but many others as well.
For instance: 3x (ft/yds), 12x (in/ft, & d/shilling), 8x (half crown/£, furlong/mile), 16x (oz/lb) - I could go on. We just got on with it, and understood what we were doing. She learnt both and can cope, but agreed with his belief.

Water company. Not really as their responsibility ends at your boundary.--

Engineering, like us, has converted to metric (like us, many will be bi-system).

Better for maths means harder for kids to do. Todays kids struggle with the much watered down GCSE maths as it is without making things unnecessarily harder.
