Good job you spotted that - Could've been a huge expense if you left it where it was.

I know! - and today to add to the misery, there is a petal on the bonnet. It never ends...

Decided to disconnect the main plug behind the offside headlight today in order to see if i could stop my xennon flickering . success .. it unplugged after a bit of a fight and a few grazed fingers , then i applied a very liberal dose of carb cleaner to the female plug , and worked it in and out several times. all good again. very pleased with that. ... the only downside was i dripped some cleaner onto my headlight lense . needless to say it burned the accrylic and is deep into the plastic. No chance to polish that out. luckily it was between the two bulb positions so does not effect the beam patterns. next time it gets a cover up if im using that stuff again. i ran out of electrical contact spray , and forgot to buy some more. not sure if that would have done the same to the light lense , but i dont think i will try. ...

Yesterday, i had to replace one of my tyres because some OIK put a screw driver in it,
Then whist having one tyre changed i noticed that the sidewall was quite badly breaking up, on the other rear, so thats two brand new rear tyres , and to add injury to insult, the damaged tyre that was the reason for my visit, was only 6 months old !! but at least it means i have 3 brand new tyres and one only very slightly worn, |

Filled Banana up with go go juice. Then popped over the bridge into England and bought myself a new strimmer and a vacuum cleaner at Marsh Mills. Banana got a couple of nice comments about the colour.
Home and she has had a well deserved wash.

Gave the ZT a quick wash and wax after work, and quickly did the TF while I was at it.

Hi,spent a week taking out a seized front wheel bearing on the MG 260,put in new bearing and sensor now have an ABS warning message on the display, have tried everything mentioned to clear it but no joy, hope it's not the ABS modulator,if so got three weeks left on the MOT then looks like a possible long SORN.It came on when the bearing seized, didn't realise it had seized till I got home and was checking the brakes before an early MOT which had to be canceled.I presume the seized bearing must have scrambled the ABS software.
Anyway today to clear my brain off the problem installed the Mini handbrake compensator to it.Not easy as it had a custom carpet made and fitted over the original so had to fit it over a double thickness carpet. Also found the handbrake warning switch contact had fallen off so now have a handbrake warning light on the dash which I never noticed was missing.Back to the ABS problem today/tomorrow.Regards Ry..... |
