Likewise, great to meet up & put faces to names (in most cases ). Huge thanks again to Arctic for the cooling fan supply & fit, and to the other guys who chipped in bits & pieces during the process. Even Mrs Goltho was impressed.

Dougie.

Yes. Nice to meet you Dougie. No doubt you enjoyed the aircon on the way home.

Default Looking backwards!

Well Lagetha can see going backwards as well as forwards now, new reversing lamp switch fitted. Had the part for ages but due to other circumstances been unable to get on and fit it. Easy job with Left Front Wheel only removed, but a deep 19mm socket essential.

Eventually. He's going to try again when we come up (Will be riding shotgun with him, as changing the knock sensor on my car isn't something that can really be done at a nano unless you have a jack)

Incidentally, I did fit a cheap 30 quid cone filter to the car today just for something to do. I know it'll probably suffer heat soak, but it sounds nice at least.

Took my 75 out of storage and put it through the MoT today, which it passed with no advisories. Not bad considering it hasn't been driven for nearly 3 years, but then that's quality for you.

Default I blame the covid...

Desperate to do something whilst recovering from the dreaded covid, I thought I would replace some of the missing m6 bolts that hold the front bumper and various ancillaries, including the one that secures the air con pipe to the slam panel. I bought some quality stainless steel ones off the 'bay' and set to work. I noticed a bit of resistance when tightening down the a/c bolt but it was starting to rain and so I went indoors. Long story short - driver's side headlight filled up with water. Upon further investigation I had managed to screw the (too-long) bolt through the A/C bracket and into the top of the headlight, creating a neat little 6mm fill-hole for the rain-water to percolate through
I blame the covid...

Collected marmite from body repair shop.
Had T Hobbs sills fitted to both rear sills and nsf sill. But repairer also though the osf was a bit iffy so he welded in a strip there too.

I see he used the body shoots all the way up to the chrome trim, but I’m ok with that.
I should have asked him to spray a few other bits when he had the paint out, but I guess that can wait for another day.
£260 for labour, which I’d say is perfectly reasonable.
Should have cleaned it a bit before I took the photo.🙄

Yes. Mine goes away with my mechanic friend tomorrow, Sunday. Going in for pre mot check first Monday, then into an MOT. Hope everything is ok and it passes. Been off the road for two years, all snuggled up in the garage. Took it out today to give it a vac and check up. Looks good even if I say so myself. So Monday, I hope it gets a good bill of health. Only done around 1500 miles since it was last mot’d, so fingers crossed, it should pass.Wife has hospital appointment come through on Thursday for Monday. NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-’s law, so its a taxi for us. First time I have actually been without a car for years. Wish me luck.
