Hi Tom.
Your ears must have been burning as it was only Monday when i went to David's we were say both of us had not seen or from you in quite a while

The subframes is now two tone having had a couple of more coats of paint today, one more coat should see it ready to have the cavities filled with grease.

Hi, finally got the ABS failure warning light problem solved on the V8 as mentioned before.Removed the ABS/traction modulator ECU and took it to a firm and left it for testing. They confirmed it was faulty and repaired it.Got it back in time to have the MOT done yesterday, which it passed with two advisories. No need to SORN it now. Will wait till summer over and then will be taking off both front and rear sub frames for cleaning and painting.Regards Ryszard...

Default Just enjoyed driving Molly

Well, never seen Molly hit 30mpg around town being a diesel auto, she did today. So I'm guessing with all the work I've done on her this year has paid off with the MAF being the main reason the mpg has shot up, and that she's now driving properly.

Let that dry so it was just tacky, and gave the arms a coat of anthracite black paint.
2

Then did the rest of the subframe including the lower arms.
3

This is only the underside of the subframe, the top will be done either tomorrow or Friday.

Once the anthracite was dry, it got a clear coat.
4

I purchased this subframe form (David Bourne ) PM for his identity

Is this the version for the Dubai naono meets?

Had new Mintex pads fitted, and an attempt was made to fit the knock sensor.

Eurofit had difficulty getting it to go in, so I'm going to try a garage local to me.

Happy to say, the diesel is now back on the road. I must say, that I think the diesel is a more comfortable car to drive, considering the V6 2.5 has done almost the same miles. Seems more ‘put together’ than the petrol, considering it is 12 months older than the petrol. The exhaust joy is something I miss on the diesel, especially as I had a new stainless back box fitted, with slight sport note. I wont be missing the average 27 mpg over 1000 miles. The diesel will be doing around 46 mpg round the houses, and 52 on a run. The insurance is also cheaper by £25, and the tax is £140 cheaper. So I have made £165.00 saving to start with. It also went through the MOT with just one advisory, slight oil leak. Did not say where, and I can not find one? So now just waiting for everything to come together, for a nice trip to see my son and family in Germany again .
