Sunday I went to look at a 75 Tourer, and after a little haggling ended up driving it home.
Monday I had one of the rear tyres replaced, and as the guy in the tyre place is a fellow Rover lover, got a decent discount. Today I had both front wheels balanced as I had a death wobble at 70. Tomorrow I will try to replace a broken stud on a 98 820 Sterling Coupe which belongs to my wife. Thursday I am probably fitting new front brake pads on the tourer. Friday is as yet a mystery, but will likely be Rover related. |

I'd say not. ZTs have been my daily for the last 3 years although I am now retired so "Daily" no longer applies. They have been very reliable but saying that the tilt function on the sunroof decided not to work today. It didn't work when I got the car then magically decided to work this spring-until today. Oh well!

Just done a fuel economy run in the tank.
Right now it's doing about 30mpg around town, which is just a bit better than the 14.9mpg it was doing when I first bought it. I think I'm winning.

Took the diesel to BMTR at Perry Barr Birmingham, to have its first four wheel alignment in my time. It was wearing the outside edge of the rear tyres. Took around three quarters of an hour to have the mechanical check , and what date the tyres were manufactured, and the wear on them. The toe in/out both ends was not that bad, but was out at the back.Hence I presume the rear tyre wear. The bolts at the rear arm were easy to undo, and the mechanic has sprayed some white grease on them so if they ever need to be undone again, they will undo easily. I must admit,I was a little worried they would be a bit of a job to undo. Drove like a new car on the way home. No drifting to the left.Happy days, and worth the £75.

Ordered a new back box. So will be fitting a full new exhaust from downpipe including cat when it turns up.
Just a shame its not the same as the oem one, but better than the one thats swiss cheese on at the moment. |

Todays was a sort out the small jobs that have been annoying me and then give the interior a quick hoover.
Got headliner another temp repair with glue on rear passenger side Front heat shield needed 3 larger washers fitted due to the usual hole enlargement with corrosion A successful bodge fix for passenger side seat switch, fixed with 1 matchstick and a quick drill. Will see how long it lasts then decided if something stronger is required Last edited by Maxfly; 8th July 2022 at 17:24.. Reason: Spelling |

Washed and waxed the Yellow One ready for the weekend show. At Powderham Castle, we have a club stand.

Took the ZTs to Gaydon for the Leyland and BMC show. Amazing weather, lots of nice cars about including some very nice 75s and ZTs.

Spent 10 minutes doing headlights, gone from really dull and dingy to looking like brand new, totally clear now, well pleased!
