I came across this on a car that I was repairing last year. The tube underneath the cabin air filter wasn't damaged but it had been dislocated due to over zealous rodding. The tube passes through two skins and has an integral seal for each. You can just see it from underneath the car. From my experience I'd recommend that you don't remove and replace. Re-seating your existing tube will be easier (but it's still a real fiddle). Simon
