Picked up a 2 hose version for £45.

I can then work on a refurb in stages to limit my exposure to the Diesel fumes...🤮

I plan to replace all of the hoses & the thermo valve (replacement ordered). So I want to have everything to hand before I start.

Can anyone tell me what the hose size is? I think it's 8mm I/D
Any special spec?

Is a Dremel the best way to remove the old clips?

Any other advice?

Hi Steven.
Use a small flat bladed screw driver to open the stainless steel jubilee clips and you can re-use them on your new hose, white arrows show where to push the screwdriver on and twist

Question for you:
How did you remove the earth screw from the radiator, I can't budge this one. It's currently swimming in WD40

That earth screw you mention.--Has it got a wire to it ??--If so, is it sensible to cut and then re-join the wire ?? Less chance of damaging something fighting with a recalcitrant screw.

Hi Steven
The very first one i dealt with was on my first tourer, corrosion was very bad.

After touching the wire in came away.

Cleaned most of the corrosion away with a small brass brush, dropped a few drops of vinegar onto it let that soak and carefully undo it a small turn at a time, did the temporary repair, until i could get a crimp and heat shrink onto it later.

That was back in 2010/11

Never heard of using 'vinegar' to freeoff screws
